Patch:
If you want to enable shared experience from now on the only way to do this is via the 'action menu'; right clicking on your character and enabling it.
- Elven Wand, Wand of Might, Golden Wand, Wooden Wand have had focused added to them.
- The drop rate of Legendary Items from Elite Monsters has been substantially increased.
- Depot Item count now includes Depot and Locker inventory.
- Temple NPCs will now tell which lands are Blessed (And Blessings NPCs)

Patch: Players can now force logout while in-combat without closing the client. (Characters will still remain online until they are timed out). This will be seen visually as 'Do you want to exit to the main menu?'
- Improved UI/backpack saving system.
- From now on Clone creatures won't cast elite spells anymore.
- Fist fighting death penalty loss has been reduced to match the rest of the skills death penalty.
- The spell book has been completely reworked. Use it to see.
- Previously in Dura when a monster flees it stops melee attacking you. This was never intended. This has been fixed. Now when a monster flees it will keep attacking you if you are within melee range.

- Fairouz's Arena Quest will now always be cleaned via map wipe for every new team that enters. Otherwise the visual clarity was spoiled and it made the quest slightly more disorienting.
- The game world save feature happening through white message every six hours has been deactivated.
- You can now throw items into the Delta Quest's whirlpool.
- For a large amount of the monsters in the game, somewhere between 10 and 40%, they will now drop deteriorating backpacks as their containers instead of bags.
- Corpse inventory size has been increased for every monster in the game.
- The Rewards Chest for the Pharaoh's Weapons Quest require level 99 now.

- Loot Hoards (Spillage)
- Items will now spill in the game. This means you can receive more then just a single item if the chances for it dropping are above 100%. You will notice this especially for example when it comes to elite or legendary monsters, or during events, or gold, or food, or runes, or rings, or amulets, etc. If you're seeing more of the same item in a single corpse than you're used to — that's working as intended. But use judgement and ask questions if you feel something is wrong.

- Gold Riches (Stacking)
- - - In tandem with Loot Spillage, monsters who have great quantities of gold -- they will now often carry with them platinum instead of more gold, and crystal instead of more platinum. Large amounts of coins are now automatically stacked into higher-value coins inside the corpse.
- - - The number needs to be very high for this to occur.

- Heroic Loot
- - - Heroic loot no longer appears in a separate backpack. All loot — including heroic bonuses — is now in one corpse, one backpack. If you don't see a second backpack inside the corpse, that's correct.
- - - A bug with Heroism has been fixed, it sometimes caused more loot to drop than intended. This bug was very similar to the one that undermined the integrity of Valor's loot.

- The minimum Fireball and Great Fireball damage on MULTIPLE TARGETS has been raised. Previously it was possible at low levels these spells could do as little as 1 damage when hitting a great many targets. Each spell will now do a minimum of 9 and 18 damage respectively no matter how many targets are hit.
- - - Let it be noted that previously and still currently if you're hitting only one target the minimum damage is 18 and 36 respectively.

## Bugs:
- Fixed Safe-Trading deleting items when one of the recipients had no space left in their inventory.
- Fixed the Creature Illusion spell appearance effect lasting indefinitely.
- Fixed Game Store lagging the game during it's first load.
- Client has had various UI fixes.
- Fixed VIP list updates lagging the game.
- Fixed various map bugs.

- Fixed experience quest in Kha'zeel mountain.
- Bug with Crypt Shambler fixed in an Ankrahmun Tomb.
- There was a bug  in the Parrot Tomb. When you threw a bag or an item down the hole and then went in yourself after and landed in the underground moat the bag/item would not be in the same place you are. This has been fixed.
- Yahya's Caravan should be fully fixed and working now.
slight improvements to the blessing dialogue of the blessing in PCs has occurred.
- superficial bugs with the NPC prisoner have been fixed.

- Various bugs with NPC Ulama and his Quest has have been fixed.
- Any bug concerning entering the Secret Library at the Djinn Libraries should be fixed.
- Buying spells from Guild Spell NPCS should be largely improved.
- A bug with exchanging runes to knives regarding capacity has been fixed.
- Dreadseers will now drop bowls of blood and not bowls of beer.
- Fixed the top two Ankrahmun's depot lockers being disconnected from the rest of Ankrahmun's depot system

Patch:
Amethyst Account Depot limit has been increased from 7,500 to 10,000.
- - - This was bugged and was giving 8,500 instead of 7,500, but today's patch is still an increase.
- Great elemental beams and elemental waves have had a 10% reduction in mana cost.
- Warlock damage spells have had their cast speed increased.
- Fireball rune (not Great Fireball rune) in PvP has been decreased.

Patch:
Deteriorating Backpacks have been largely removed from the game. Hopefully one day they make their way back though, its sprite will be missed
- - - They have been replaced with Stuffed Bags. When creatures loot becomes so filled with treasure the container, bag or backpack, carrying all these things becomes stuffed.
- - - When a bag or backpack is stuffed it cannot be picked up. It can be dragged.
- - - You can take items out of the stuffed bag and when the bag it's it's normal carrying capacity it will become a normal bag.
- - - Impetus here: https://discord.com/channels/665957535412649994/1487147105947750522
- - - - - Dev Note: This will sync with the upcoming backpack 'deterioration' removal feature gameworld wide
- Blessed Crucifix has been added to all Temples or other certain Holy/Sacred places.
- - - Using a blessing crucifix will allow you to see the current blessings you possess and the current blessings you do not possess.
- - - - - Dev Note: This item will be present on the upcoming Seasonal, in both the Temples and Store, for a number of design benefits. It seemed best to include it in Classic too, because overall it provides a benefit. However in the long term I'd prefer the item is somehow acquirable through some sort of in-game 'quest' or 'task' or other means. Not that it sits idly in the temples. Or at least it is acquirable along with residing in the temples.

## Bugs:
- A bug fix with items going into wall from a closed door has been fixed
- A bug with bleed/poison not applying when a monster melee's you has been fixed
- Desync issues on Client have been fixed
- There were some bugs with buying certain spells from NPCs. This has been fixed
- Yahya's Caravan is fixed. We've filled it up to a remaining 'one more' each to make it easy to do.

Patch:
Server save time has been moved one hour later than the previous schedule. So it will occur one hour later till whenever you are used to.
- Patience of Blessing NPCs increased when talking to them.
- Gundlach's Ice Beam changed to ice damage.
- A certain ability of the Crawling Hand changed to physical damage.
- The following monsters now change targets less frequently (target change rate reduced): Tiger, Scarab, Parrot, Larva, Flamingo, Elephant, Crocodile, Ancient Scarab
- NPC Ulama's general patience has increased when talking to him, not his quiz.

Bugs:
- A bug with being able to see level doors level-requirements fixed.
- A bug where field damage would not continue if a monster became idle has been fixed.
- A bug with Blessing NPCs not responding in some cases has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug involving Tempest Shield and Vampire Shield.

Dura Season II :: Aetas - Blessed Lands

-

Dura Season II is officially announced. A great deal of time has been spent improving the server from last season while also adding many new features, with serious account to player feedback. This Season should be filled with thrill and excitement, as well as deep strategy and a genuinely unique theme, while never feeling imbalanced or annoying.

Launch

Date: Friday, August 7, 2026 :: 13:00 EST :: 19:00 CEST :: 14:00 BRT
World: Aetas
Season: Dura Season II
Theme: Blessed Lands
Website: https://valor.playdura.com/

Note: New Accounts and Characters cannot be created yet for Season II. That will be possible after the conclusion of the Test Server. We will announce when New Creation is possible.

Blessed Lands

Every day, regions of the world are chosen randomly to become Blessed or Hallowed:

 • Two Blessed regions give modest Experience and Loot bonuses under normal Open-PvP.
 • One Hallowed region gives stronger Experience and Loot bonuses and becomes PvP Enforced.
 • The regions change every server save.

Some areas therefore become more valuable, more dangerous, and more strategically important. It should create new routes, new strategies, new risks, and new reasons to move around the world.

Full Blessed Lands explanation: Blessed Lands

What a Dura Season Is

Each Dura season is meant to have its own identity. If a theme is especially loved by players, we may bring it back in a future season, but not back-to-back. That means Blessed Lands may only be available as the active seasonal theme this one time, so if this theme sounds like your kind of game, get ready to jump in.

World Name Updates

Dura's seasonal world is now called Aetas. Valor is being replaced as the seasonal-world name; Valor was always a seasonal theme, not the permanent name of the seasonal gameworld. The website address will soon reflect this.

The world names are:
 • Antica: Dura's 1x permanent world, formerly Dura Classic.
 • Aetas: Dura's fast-rate seasonal world.
 • Aeterna: Dura's eternal world for seasonal characters after seasons run their course.

World information:

Worlds on Antica's Wesbite
Worlds on Seasonal Website

Seasonal To Eternal

Aetas is a seasonal world, but your character will not vanish when the season is over. Seasonal characters will eventually move into Aeterna, Dura's eternal world for seasonal characters. Your character, items, and progress will continue to exist after the seasonal period is over. Future seasons will still be fresh starts. Aeterna exists so seasonal characters have a future after the season has run its course. The active season will not close immediately when the Hall of Fame period ends. It can keep running while it is healthy before it is merged into Aeterna.

Full Aetas to Aeterna explanation: Seasonal to Eternal World

Game Settings

Season II is designed to progress faster than normal Dura. It also will allow for more active playtime as opposed to passive; meaning more doing something and less waiting to do something. When all systems are accounted for, effective game progression should be roughly 2x-3x+ faster than 1x. This includes the full seasonal rate structure, skills, magic level, loot, spawn, raids, bosses, blessed lands, PvP settings, and other server settings.

Full game settings:

 • Website: Season II Game Settings & Rates
 • Discord: Season II Game Settings & Rates

What's Different From Season I

Aetas is not just last season with a new theme.

Some of the major differences include:
• North American hosting, chosen to provide strong connection quality across North America, South America, and Europe.
• Flat rates instead of ascending rates.
• The major Season I Heroism/Loot bug has been fixed.
• Thousands of fixes and improvements since Season I.
• Server Gauges.
• Inherent knight mechanics and buffs.
• Faster turnaround and hotfixes.
• Market and Character Bazaar support.
• New and improved Dura launcher and client.
• War mode, guild PvP mechanics, and level-difference protection.
• Faster non-magic skill advancement while hunting.
• Shield, defense, vocation, monster, loot, quest, raid, and interface improvements.
• A 75-day Hall of Fame period, while the seasonal world itself can continue beyond that.
• Etc..
• Etc..

Full What's Different explanation: What's Different

Server Gauges

 • Server Gauges are Discord referendums voted on by players. If a gauge meets the required threshold, that change will be implemented within 48 hours. Developers cannot override this.
 • After each round of voting, gauges reset and players can vote on them again. This gives the season an ongoing, transparent way for players to help shape the game they are playing.
 • Gauges are meant to let the community regularly vote on whether certain server-wide settings should increase, decrease, stay the same, be enabled, or be disabled. Gauges can cover things like raids, bosses, rune supply, vocation balance, mana fluids, spawn rates, PvP settings, frag limits, blessings, and other server-wide dials.
 • Some gauges will require stronger thresholds, especially when they affect the long-term economy or core balance.

Rules Reminder

Please read the seasonal rules before launch. Aetas does not use the same ruleset as Antica. Antica uses the Standard Ruleset. Aetas uses a Free-Trade Ruleset designed for a faster, more competitive seasonal world. Most importantly: The Free-Trade ruleset does not use Standard Rule 6.4a, Power Abuse and therefore Gamemaster Oversight. The Free-Trade Rulesset also allows greater market fluidity, in both characters and in-game items.

Seasonal rules: Free Trade Ruleset

How To Play

 • You will use the Dura client/launcher to play Aetas, the same client used for Dura (Antica).
 • Season I (Valor) accounts will work; if you played last season, your account carries over. If you want to make a new account or new characters, you can do that as well. However new Accounts and Characters cannot be created until the conclusion of the Test Server. We will announce when New Creation is possible.
 • You are allowed to play on Antica and Aetas at the same time. Having one character online on each world is allowed. Having two characters online on the same world is not allowed.

Before Launch

 • There will be a Test Server before launch. We will post details and instructions in the near future.
 • Now that Season II has been announced, our focus is rotating into finishing and releasing the next custom update for Antica, and all other Dura Worlds.

Streaming

 • If you'd like to partner with Dura to stream Season II please contact us here: Streamer Portal
 • • If you already have a streamer portal open with us use that one.

We hope you enjoy Season II,
It won't be something you'll soon forget,
Regards,
Dura Staff

Valor's Tournament Ends Soon

-
Reminder to everyone that Valor's Tournament will be ending soon. It was scheduled to end 90 days after its Launch. And so it will end Februrary 14th Server Save. At that point the placements, and their prizes, will be locked in and no new progress will count towards the placements in the Hall of Fame.

However as we stated when Valor launched just because the Tournament ends does not mean the server will close at the same time. We will be keeping Valor online for at least a couple more months so people can continue to have fun and reach their goals.

Good Luck to the remaining participants,
Dura Staff

The Dwarven Ale!

-

In the depths of winter, when the snow lies heavy and the mountains glisten like polished mithril, the dwarves know well how to turn the bitter chill into a celebration of life’s richest blessings. For when the winds howl and the stone halls grow quiet, there is one thing that stirs their spirits like no other: Ale!

Hark, for this is no ordinary brew. The Dwarven Ale flows deep and hearty, rich as the veins of ore beneath the mountains, and bold as the songs sung by firelight. It is the lifeblood of feasts and the nectar of tales. Gather now, kindred spirits and adventurers alike, for the tavern doors swing wide, inviting all to step into a world where warmth is not just felt but shared.

Here, amidst the glow of roaring flames and the clamor of celebration, the air fills with the scent of roasted meats, the melody of jubilant voices, and the cheer of clinking tankards. Raise your mug high and let the frothy crown of ale spill in triumph! Tell your stories, sing your songs, and toast to the bonds forged in steel and laughter.

So heed the call, weary wanderer. Cast off the weight of your travels and take your place at the table. For tonight, the ale flows freely, the spirits run high, and the winter’s chill stands no chance against the blazing heart of the dwarven halls. Drink deep and be merry, for this is a night of legends in the making!

From December 13th Friday Server Save 10:00 EST, to December 17th Tuesday Server Save 10:00 EST, Dura will have the following effects when one is drunk:

u  500% Health Regeneration
u  40% Health Pool Increase
u  20% Damage Increase FOR PVE only, all attacks, spells, and runes affected
35% Healing Increase for both spells and runes

Season of Energy

-

The storm raged fiercely over the jagged peaks, casting the dark tower in bursts of silver light. At its pinnacle, the wizard stood amidst a maelstrom of howling winds and crackling electricity. His long, tattered robes billowed as his hands, wreathed in tendrils of pulsating energy, reached skyward to summon the storm’s fury. Thunder roared in answer to his commands, and bolts of lightning arced down to the tower’s spire, drawn like moths to flame. The air was thick with the acrid smell of burnt rock and stone and everything seemed bent at the great one's will.

Below, in the shadow of the mountain, a grim company of men ascended the narrow, winding path to the castle. Armed with steel and determination, their faces were lit by the faint glow of torches that struggled against the lashing rain. The townsfolk had suffered long under the wizard's shadow, his magic of energy cowering their lands and twisting their fates. Now, they moved with a desperate unity, the weight of their mission as heavy as the storm overhead. Above, the flashes of lightning silhouetted the ominous tower like a ghastly beacon, daring them to face the foe who wielded the storm.

The event, Season of Energy, will occur from Thursday November 28th Server Save to Monday December 2nd Server Save.

u During this event all energy damage that is dealt from monsters to players is increased by 15%.
u During this event all energy damage that is dealt by players to monsters is increased by 15%.
u Player energy damage will not increase against other players.
u Monsters whose core elemental identity is energy will reward bonus experience and loot. These monsters would be a Pharaoh, Warlock, Marid, Blue Djinn, Elf Arcanist, and possibly more.
u Bonus experience for the above will be 7%.
u Bonus loot for the above will be 7%.

VALOR LAUNCH

-

Valor Launches!

Valor - An Arcade Game - Heroism and Bloodlust
Valor is not the same as Dura Classic, in fact it's not like any OT you've ever seen or played before. You're about to embark on a truly unforgettable experience. Valor's experience puts fun foremost. Like games we played when we we're younger -- hit 'Play' button and enjoy yourself for an hour. Just playing games and having fun each new game-screen. This is what Valor aims to achieve, all of this while not ever descending into something Cartoony, which so often happens on these more explosive high-rates -- gameplay that doesn't feel weighted and carry consequences, but feels hollow. The decisions, strategies, and skills you employ in Valor will matter but they will be greatly amplified to your triumph or devastation.

Tournament and Hall of Fame:
Although Valor is first and foremost about simply having fun it will contain within it a Tournament! This Tournament will culminate in a Hall of Fame where at the end of the Tournament Period there will be placements in various categories with Prizes. The following is the Categories and Prizes with the total Prize Pool being $3,500+ worth of Dura Coins, but the real Prize is being the Best:

    • Experience:
    • 1 : 5000 Dura Coins
    • 2 : 3000 Dura Coins
    • 3 : 1000 Dura Coins
    • 4-10 : 250 Dura Coins
    • 11-20 : 100 Dura Coins

    • Melee:
    • 1 : 3000 Dura Coins
    • 2 : 2000 Dura Coins
    • 3 : 1000 Dura Coins
    • 4-10 : 250 Dura Coins
    • 11-20 : 100 Dura Coins

    • Distance:
    • 1 : 3000 Dura Coins
    • 2 : 2000 Dura Coins
    • 3 : 1000 Dura Coins
    • 4-10 : 250 Dura Coins
    • 11-20 : 100 Dura Coins

    • Magic Level:
    • 1 : 3000 Dura Coins
    • 2 : 2000 Dura Coins
    • 3 : 1000 Dura Coins
    • 4-10 : 250 Dura Coins
    • 11-20 : 100 Dura Coins

a) The tournament is a great part of Valor, but you should not feel obligated to be a part of it. The goal of Valor is to have fun; the tournament is an extra-layer to that -- not it's primary design purpose.
b) These Dura Coins will be given to the Winners on the next Dura Tournament Server
c) There will also be the Categories of Most Frags & Largest Bank Balance, but since these can be exploited there will be no Prizes for it.

GAME ROLL

  • Rookgaard on Launch:
To deal with decongestion on Rookgaard at launch time Valor has the following in place:
    • 2.2x Spawn Rate
    • Tons of Raids
    • Dura's Experience Quests
    • Walk Through Players (only on Rook)
  • Raid Game Roll
    • There will be only Rookgaard Raids on the first day of the server.
    • However in the following days as the server matures (population levels up) we will activate the according raids each day that the populace can handle. As an example the 2nd Day of Valor will already have 20+ new raids added to the Gameworld via Patch.
  • Spawn Rate Game Roll
    • Valor's Spawn Rate is 1.9x during the entirety of the server except during this first week where it will be 2.2x. Why? Since In-Game-Store-Items will not be activated until a minimum of 7+ days after the Game's Launch there will be no Global-Boost for Spawn Rate which will be set at 15% it's available. When this is active it would make the 1.9x Spawn Rate effectively 2.2x but in lieu of the Global-Spawn-Boost not being available we're making it so the first week will be 2.2x Rate.
  • In-Store Game Roll
    • There will be In-Store Items players can buy but only after 7+ Days from Launch. These Items are mostly, but not only, Global Boosts (which everyone will equally benefit from). Except for the Catch-Up Store Item there is no in-store item that gives more than a 10% advantage to a single player. The reason we're holding off from activating the In-Game-Store for the first 7 days is because we think overall it will allow for a more healthy and fun gameworld over the coming months.
  • Polling
    • We will not be doing any changes to the Game-Settings (except flagrant issues) unless it is carried by majoirty vote. We have polling in our Discord. We will be polling patches/changes for Valor after it launches in the coming weeks/months. If you'd like to be able to vote about what we should do: Discord Polling
  • Things were planning to and will patch
  • Sunsetting Valor:
    • The Tournament starts on Valor's launch and ends exactly 90 days after. At the end of the Tournament placements are locked in but Valor does not close as people will still be wanting to war as well as personal goals (full legendary set!) etc. etc.
    • The server itself will be kept open at least 6-12 months total, which will largely rely on player count. If people are still playing then why close it.
    • But Valor compresses 18 Months of Gameplay into 3 Months of Gameplay. When most people hit endgame slowly but steadily the player population will obviously go down, people wanting to play other games, or even wanting to restart. That is reality, every single OTServer and Game is like this. The only ones that are not like this are 1x's and that is not what Valor is -- Valor is a high-octane Arcade Experience.
    • Therefore at the lastest of 12 months and the earliest of 6 months, but likely somewhere in the middle due to player count Dura Valor will close. We hope you appreciate this transparency -- 90% of games are like this but they don't say it. We are.
  • Report Bugs:
    • This is in many ways a brand new game! You'll see what we mean soon enough! If you find bugs report them here: Discord Bug Reports

Note:
Dura Classic and Valor are two different games with different Rates and different Rules. Each Website respectively has it's Rates and Rules listedin the proper place: Server Rates and Rules.

We hope you have Fun,

Dura Staff
